Fire Module Update

We previously reported that notices from Fire Module were fake and fraudulent according to the Fire District and the SFMO.  We have this week been notified that more information has been acquired and this is not true.  Please see the emails we received from Chief Pardue and Fire Module on how to proceed when you receive these notices.


I am reaching out on behalf of the fire prevention bureaus in Tangipahoa Parish. We are working with the fire module to require that service companies submit work and issues to the local bureaus. I have been using this company for several months and have already had companies submit work through the program, and it seems to work great. This occurred because the state gets notified, but not the local AHJ, as required by state law. Several bureaus have been added in the state over the last couple of years, and we are all having the same issues. We also discussed this at our North Shore Fire Prevention meeting last month, and I fully expect several departments in St. Tammany to start using this program as well. We are working on updating our parish ordinance to include wording for third-party reporting. Let me know if you have any questions or if you need any documentation.


The individual fire prevention units within Tangipahoa Parish - including Tangipahoa Fire Protection District 1, Hammond Fire Department, Independence Volunteer Fire Department, Natalbany Volunteer Fire Department, and Ponchatoula Volunteer Fire Department - have collectively agreed to use FireModule for third-party reporting. This decision allows local AHJs to see life safety system compliance in real time.
